7 Apps Every Entrepreneur Needs

When you start a new business you have a million things on your mind. Between long term plans to short term goals, there is a whole lot of things on your mind. You need to be mindful of money, savings, stock and schedules. How do you keep it all straight? We’ve put together a list of amazing apps that will help you keep your head above water and focus on the more important aspects of your business.

Box:
Box is much like other cloud-based storage options, such as Dropbox and Google Drive. You will be able to store documents that multiple people have access to. Box is heavily focused on ensuring the security of your information. It also gives you real-time updates allowing you to track any project. Box looks and works fantastic from a laptop, smartphone or tablet.

Slack:
Slack is the answer to your work emails; but if your company is a small one, Slack might not be for you yet. Slack allows you to set up chat-style conversations with your team, sending documents and files while keeping track of everything. It’ll also let you break out of those chats to talk with specific team members.

Evernote:
Whether you’re writing a quick note, or keeping track of a web article you want to read later, Evernote is the app for you. Set up separate “notebooks” (eg. one for work and another for personal use), use tags and categories for easy searching and sync everything across your devices.

Mint:
Mint is your money app. You can connect it to your bank account and it will learn your spending habits. You can create budgets, and Mint will let you know when you’re close to hitting them. Create categories for your expenditures and Mint will show you in easy to understand charts how much your spending and on what. If you’re looking for an easy way to keep track of where your money goes, Mint is the app for you.

Lastpass:
How many logins and passwords do you have? If you’re tired of having to remember each password or forgetting one and having to go through the entire reset process, Lastpass is for you. Lastpass can generate new passwords for you and keeps them all safe and secure. For $12 a month you’ll also be able to use Lastpass on your smartphone.

Skype:
If you’re not already using Skype for calls across the world, you should be. It can also be used for chat, calling mobile phones and conference calling. Skype is a very powerful tool you’ve probably heard of, but might not be using. Get some face time with anyone, no matter where they are.

In the end, use these as you see needed. The job of an entrepreneur isn’t an easy one and anything you can do to help yourself is a plus. Not all of the apps will be for everyone, but we bet that if you check this list out, you’ll find a few apps that can make your life easier.
